Amy Anderson, 49, of 120 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs related to non-injury crash about 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Deputies responded to the area of County Road 56 and Township Road 57 in reference to a crash. A witness had observed a vehicle crash into a ditch and then begin traveling westbound on C.R. 57 with heavy front end damage.
A deputy located the suspect vehicle in the area of County Road 130 and C.R. 57, and activated the overhead lights of the cruiser. However, the defendant did not stop until she reached Logan Road.
During the stop, deputies observed heavy damage to the vehicle’s radiator and also green corn stalks hanging from her vehicle.
Anderson showed signs of intoxication, deputies said. She submitted to field sobriety tests and also a urine test at the jail, with test results pending. She also was cited for failure to stop after a crash and driving under OVI suspension.
