Austin Olejniczak drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the eighth inning to plate the winning run as host West Liberty-Salem prevailed 3-2 over West Jefferson in Ohio Heritage Conference baseball action.
The Tigers are now 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the OHC. West Jeff falls to 2-3, 1-2.
Both teams scored a run in the first inning and the score stayed deadlocked at 1-1 until the Roughriders pushed a run across in the top of the eighth to take a 2-1 lead.
The Tigers responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth to pull out the victory.
Nick Burden added an RBI for the Tigers.
Garrett Payer picked up the win on the mound in relief for the Tigers.
WL-Salem is back in action Thursday at home against Arcanum.

Pirates blitz Gophers 21-1
Riverside’s baseball team hammered out 20 hits en route to a 21-1 pasting of host Ridgemont in six innings Tuesday.
The Pirates are now 2-4 on the season.
Riverside built a 10-1 lead through five innings and the Pirates piled up 11 more runs in the sixth inning.
Warren Shockey threw a three-hitter on the mound for Pirates. He struck out 12 and did not walk a batter.
Offensively for the Pirates, Zander Crouch went 3-4 with a double, triple and five RBI to lead the way.
Also in the win, Shockey went 3-5 with an RBI, Simon Godwin went 2-4 with a double and two RBI, Landon Stewart went 2-4 with a double and an RBI, Kale Long was 3-5 with a home run, two doubles and three RBI, Deven Frilling was 3-3 with a triple and an RBI, Gavin Robinson had two RBI and Zane Rose was 2-5 with a double and three RBI.
For the Gophers, Weston McKinley had an RBI.
Riverside hosts Urbana on Thursday.

Triad zaps Fairbanks
Triad thumped Fairbanks 13-5 for an Ohio Heritage Conference baseball win Tuesday.
The Cardinals improve to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the OHC. Fairbanks drops to 3-4, 0-3.
The game was tied 5-5 after five innings. The Cardinals then broke through with eight runs in the sixth inning to blow the game open.
Offensively for the Cards, Derek Bails was 2-5, Blake Boldman had a double and three RBI, Ryan Gross was 2-3, Batai Lease went 2-4 with two RBI and Jalen Nott was 2-4 with an RBI.
The Cardinals are back in action Friday at Springfield Catholic Central.
