Winfred Dean McDonald, 89, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018, in Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana.
He was born Sept.10, 1928, in West Liberty, the son of Roy and Auda Lyon McDonald. Winfred enjoyed motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons.
Winfred is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Ann McDonald; children, Doug (Debbie) McDonald, Brian (Linda) McDonald, Gregg McDonald, Brenda (Steve) Fry and Becky (Chris) Reeves; grandchildren, Dwayne, Amanda, Teri, Brandon, Andrew, Jessica, Jacob, Aaron and Camille; several greatgrandchildren; sister, Triva Fanaff; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Loris, Eugene and Wayne; sisters, Estle, Kuma and Marlyn; great-granddaughter, Hallie; and great-great-grandson, Brayson.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, in the Skillman, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, following calling that begins at 10 a.m. Pastor Mimi Ault officiates and burial follows in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
