William P. Boyle III, 66, of Bellefontaine, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017, in his home.
He was born in White Oak, Pa., on Dec. 18, 1950, a son of the late William P. II and Alice Vetterly Boyle.
He is survived by his wife, Deb Watkins Boyle of Bellefontaine; son, Patrick Boyle of Oxford; stepson, Aric (Brandy) Stover of Zanesfield; stepdaughter, Jennifer Gossett of Blue Ash; stepgrandchildren, Bailee, Alivia, Makayla and Maria; a brother, Robert (Diana) Boyle of Fairmont, W.Va.; sisters-in-law, Susan (Marc) Ahmay and Judi Anderson, both of Prospect, and Krista (Tim) Sullivan of Marion; brother-in-law, Thomas (Julie) Watkins of Hessell, Mich.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
William was a 1968 graduate of McKeesport High School in Pennsylvania and graduated from Kent State in 1975. He worked for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and retired in 2005 after 23 years of service. He enjoyed playing and watching volleyball. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bellefontaine. He was an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports, including the Steelers, Pirates and the Penguins.
Father Kenneth Baker celebrates a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, where visitation is one hour prior to the Mass. Burial follows in Calvary Cemetery, Bellefontaine.
