William David Huffman, 72, of East Liberty, went to be with the Lord Friday morning, March 11, 2016, at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born in Champaign County on Jan. 14, 1944, to the late William R. and Marjorie Hunt Huffman. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Huffman; a daughter Debra Bray; and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Lear Huffman, whom he married July 4, 1987, at Ohio Caverns; children, Lisa (William) Wilson, Vanessa (Mike) Osborn, Katherine Linebaugh, Lavern Huffman, Pamela (Dean) Schneider, Judy Rea, John P. (Jessica) Bray II, Matthew Huffman and Thomas (Erica) Bray; 26 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dan (Gina) Huffman, Mike (Jane) Huffman and Gary (Roshelle) Huffman; his previous wife, Brenda J. Huffman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A retired truck driver, he was a member of the Middletown Church of God in Cable.
David was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, camping and was a lifetime member of the NRA.
Pastor Robert Instine officiates a memorial service at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at the Middletown Church of God, 6205 State Route 296, Cable OH 43009.
