Kenton’s baseball team used a sixth-inning surge to rally past host Indian Lake 6-5 on Wednesday in a non-league meeting.
The loss drops the Lakers to 0-2 on the season after the Lakers fell 8-7 to St. Henry on Monday.
Kenton jumped ahead 3-0 after the top of the second inning.
Indian Lake came back to score one run in the bottom of the second and four more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. That put the Lakers on top 5-3.
The Wildcats made a rally of their own in the top of the sixth inning, scoring three runs. That pushed them in front for a 6-5 lead and they held on the rest of the way.
Offensively, Tyler Reprogle led the way for Indian Lake with a home run. Tyler Huffer had two RBI and Jacob Brunson and Nick Silvis each added an RBI.
