West Liberty-Salem’s boys golf team finished fourth overall at the Ohio Heritage Conference tournament Thursday at Darby Creek Golf Course, but collected enough points throughout the regular season that the Tigers were able to claim the OHC North division league title.
“We didn’t play our best golf today, but we did enough to win a league title,” said WL-Salem head coach Darrin Leichty. “Thankfully, we had a very strong regular season, which really weighs in (to the overall point scoring). This is something our guys will especially appreciate years down the road when they walk into the gym and look at the league title banners.”
