Shawnee won the Kenton Trail portion with a 325, the Chiefs had 329, Urbana was third with 361, Kenton Ridge finished fourth with 363 and Tecumseh was fifth with a 369.
For the Chieftains, Nicklaus Lyons led the team with a 78. Connor Adelsberger and Javon Warner both shot 81, Dillon Robb and Hunter Karg both shot 89 and Derek McNutt added a 91.
“We dug ourselves a big hole on the front nine and really did a great job of battling back,” said BHS head coach Jason Steider. “The guys showed a lot of heart today to grind out some shots when they knew every shot mattered. Unfortunately, we came up a little short but I’m proud of how the guys fought back. We’re looking forward to playing a couple more tournaments and getting ourselves ready to compete at sectionals.”
