Wendell Garland Estep, 55, of Russells Point, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2017.
Wendell was born on Sept. 19, 1961, in Cleveland, to the late Elzie Garland Estep and Vaude Faye Massengale Estep, who survives in Russells Point.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by six siblings, Michael Estep of Kansas City, Mo., James “JD” Estep of Russells Point, Clyde (Vone) Estep of Powell, Linda Estep of Holgate,Ray Estep of Russells Point, and Joseph (Amy) Estep of DeGraff; and several nieces and nephews.
Wendell was a 1981 graduate of Indian Lake High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1981 to 1995 and served in the Gulf War. He was a member of Indian Lake Moose Lodge 1533 and Indian Lake Eagles Aerie 3615. Wendell enjoyed golfing and fishing.
A gathering of remembrance is from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Smokey Creek Cemetery, Norma, Tenn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Logan County Veterans Services, 121 S. Opera St., Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.
