Ryan H. Stahler, 39, of Sidney, passed away Feb. 24, 2017, in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
Ryan was born Oct. 12, 1977, in Sidney. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary K. Rose and Leonard J. Addy of Sidney; his father and stepmother, Donald R. and Sandy Stahler of Bellefontaine; one daughter, Haylee Rose Stahler; four siblings, Jamie Lea Hardwick of Lima, Shane (Brittany) Hardwick of St. Paris and Wesley Stahler and Angie Stahler, both of Bellefontaine; and many nieces and nephews.
Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert H. and Evelyn “Ilean” Rose; paternal grandparents, Richard and Lela Stahler; a brother, Eric Stahler; and aunts, Toni Cox and Jackie Rose.
Ryan was a 1997 graduate of Graham High School where he was an outstanding soccer and track star. He attended Wright State University. As a child he attended Rosewood United Methodist Church and participated in their summer Bible School.
He was an avid Bengals and Reds fan and he loved fishing and hunting mushrooms. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and daughter and will be sadly missed by those who knew him.
A celebration of his life is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, with a memorial service conducted by Pastor Andy Leighty of Rosewood United Methodist Church at 8 p.m. A graveside committal service is at the convenience of the family in Cedar Point Cemetery, Sidney.
