National Library Week celebrated

Winter’s grip on the area has seemed to last for months on end, but at the Logan County Libraries, patrons have been able to warm up with a favorite book and many other family-friendly activities throughout the long-lasting snow, ice and cold and now moving into hopeful springtime.
Wednesday, the Knowlton Library, 220 N. Main St., also offered a Patron Appreciation Day with free cookies and prize drawings for library visitors in conjunction with National Library Week celebrated throughout this week.
Between bites of cookies, children attending story times at the 220 N. Main St. library Wednesday participated
in other engaging and play-based activities in the AcuSport Community Room. As a parent of a toddler herself, children’s librarian Ariel Harris said the chance for her 3-year-old daughter to interact with others her age helps to break up the long days spent inside during the chilly weather.
