Vladimir “Friday” Dworetsky, 78, of Rushsylvania, passed away at his residence Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016.
He was born in Hastings on the Hudson, N.Y., on May 13, 1938, to the late Nicholas and Justine Seniew Dworetsky. He is also preceded in death by a son, James Patrick Dworetsky.
Survivors include his wife, Almeda Hay Dworetsky, whom he married June 18, 1966, in White Plains, N.Y.; his children, Kelly (Marc) Perry of Bellefontaine and Thomas (Jan) Dworetsky of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Quincy Coleman, Artie Zell, Keelyn Zell, Nolan Rivers, Arielle Dworetsky, Megan (Kevin) Rice, Garrett Dobrick and Brynn Perry; great-granddaughter, Portia Rice; a sister, Justine (Andy) Kubichko; several nieces; and many good friends.
He served in the United States Air Force and retired after 31 years from Super Foods Warehouse. He enjoyed hunting and, most of all, videotaping his grandchildren at various events.
A gathering will be at the family home beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.
