Stacy D. Queen, 37, of 220 Ward St., was charged Monday with domestic violence, resisting arrest, assaulting a peace officer and obstructing official business.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to the residence at 6:25 a.m. and found a 15-year-old girl with facial injuries.
Both the suspect and victim were outside and the suspect was yelling at the girl.
Ms. Queen allegedly slapped the victim, pulled her hair and punched her during an argument in a vehicle while en route home from a store. The assault resumed after the victim called police for help.
The girl had a bloodied lip.
Officers ordered the suspect to remain outside the residence, but she refused and would not comply with repeated orders. She resisted efforts to arrest her and kicked an officer and deeply scratched the back of his left hand. Even while handcuffed, the suspect continued to fight officers.
She banged her head repeatedly against the inside of the cruiser and was taken by a Bellefontaine squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of an alleged back injury.
Upon completion of her treatment, she went home where she was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Jail. At the jail, she was placed in a restraint chair.
• Leonard E. Huffman Jr., 29, of 311 N. Detroit St., was arrested Monday for domestic violence.
He claimed he became upset with Crystal Price, of the same address, over her incessant use of social media, particularly Facebook.
She told officers the argument was about their living arrangements and that she faked using the phone as a video camera when he pushed down on a bed. She had a discoloration to the left side of her face and scratches on her belly and chest.
He was lodged in jail.
