Two people were arrested for drug offenses after an 11 p.m. traffic stop Thursday on south Detroit Street.
Bryan T. Brenner, 26, of Forest, was charged with identity theft and possession of methamphetamine and served a warrant for failure to appear.
Stormy L. Cochran, 20, of Kenton, was charged with illegal possession of methamphetamine and illegal use of drug paraphernalia.
They were stopped for an expired driver’s license. Cochran pulled off and parked across two private drives. Both exited the vehicle and tried to walk to a residence along Detroit Street near Iron Avenue carrying pizza.
Brenner lied about his identity and Cochran played along with the lie. Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department took both into custody and searched the car.
They found a sunglasses case containing hypodermic needles, methamphetamine, a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine and container with a liquid substance.
Cochran also admitted on the way to the Logan County Jail that she had a small plastic baggy with methamphetamine concealed in her bra. She removed it in front of female corrections staff.
