Two people were charged Saturday after the female tried to get change for two counterfeit $100 bills at Oasis Drive Thru, 406 S. Main St.
Tracci Sue Ritter, 31, of 412 Lawrence St., was taken into custody for criminal simulation and obstructing official business while Terrance M. Kipker, 33, also of 412 Lawrence St., was lodged for a parole violation.
Ritter lied at first about how she came into possession of the bogus money, officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report. She admitted Kipker gave her the bills and told her to get change.
Kipker said he had no knowledge of the fake money.
Both were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
