COLUMBUS — Trooper Stacy L. Stidham was promoted to the rank of sergeant Thursday by Ohio State Highway Patrol Superintendent Col. Paul A. Pride during a ceremony at the Patrol’s Academy.
She will transfer from Piqua District Criminal Investigations to serve as an assistant post commander at the Marysville Post.
Sgt. Stidham began her patrol career in September 2000 as a member of the 136th Academy Class. She earned her commission in March of the following year and was assigned to the Van Wert Post.
In 2002, she transferred to the Findlay Post and earned the Criminal Patrol Award in 2003.
During 2004, she transferred to the Findlay District Criminal Investigations and earned a Certificate of Recognition. While at Findlay District Criminal Investigations, she served as a task force officer on the FBI Crimes Against Children-Human Trafficking Task Force and the Homeland Security Investigations Bulk Cash Smuggling Task Force.
Last year, she transferred to the Office of Criminal Investigations. In August, she transferred to her most recent assignment at Piqua District Criminal Investigations.
Sgt. Stidham earned an associate of applied science degree in criminal justice from Columbus State Community College in 2014.
