Triad senior Jacob Thompson picked up a big tournament win Saturday at the Lima Central Catholic Thunderbird Invitational.
The tourney is considered a marquee Division III meet and often a preview of who will qualify to the state tournament.
Mechanicsburg won the 41-team tournament with 276.5 points and had four champions. Miami East claimed second with 153.5 points and Covington was a close third with 151.5 points.
