Shady Bowl Speedway managed to get in its second night of racing this season Saturday and saw three local drivers have big performances.
Larry Adams of East Liberty, Jason Purtee of Quincy and Terry Eaton Jr. of Quincy all recorded feature wins.
The 20-lap tuner feature saw defending track champion Terry Eaton Jr. come away with the win. Gary Eaton, who was the fast qualifier, took second, Matt Jackson was third, Scott Marquis came in fourth and Eddie Kemp rounded out the top five. Terry Eaton also was the dash winner.

Adams won his second compact main of the season and was also the fast qualifier. Zak Doolin was second, Ray Smith took third, Joel Neese finished fourth and Chris Lucas was fifth. Doolin took the dash win.
In pure stock action, Purtee led early and had to rally late to come away with the win. It was his first feature win. Rob Bryant, Josh Foltz, Justin Durflinger and Lane Crabtree finished second through fifth. Foltz was fast qualifier, with the dash win going to Durflinger.
The late model main event saw Urbana driver and fast qualifier Mike Ward take control early in the race. He went unchallenged to post the win in the 35-lap event. The win was the first in 10 years for Ward at Shady Bowl. Dash winner Ross Klinglehofer was second, with Caleb Reschar third, Dave Gertsner fourth and Buddy Townsend fifth.

In modified racing, Chad Poole led the final 10 laps on his way to claiming the victory. Logan McPherson came in second, fast qualifier Greg Stapleton was third, Brad Yelton was fourth and Jerry Stapleton rounded out the top five. Poole notched the dash win with Jerry Stapleton taking the heat win.
The street stocks were paced by former track champion Rodney Roush of Sidney. Roush led the last 22 laps to take the win. Buck Purtee was a close second, with fast qualifier Shawn Stansell in third. Mike Snapp was fourth and Rob Schaeff was fifth. Purtee was the dash winner with South and Kyle Stager taking heat victories.
Shady Bowl hosts the annual Bill Lewis Memorial on Saturday. The main event will be a 40-lap modified feature. The late models, street stocks, pure stocks and tuners will also be on hand. Racing is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
