Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department continue to receive reports of thefts from vehicles.
Some vehicles are unlocked at the time, while others show signs of forced entry.
City residents should lock the vehicle doors and remove valuable items, such as laptop computers, personal electronic devices, jewelry, purses and wallets.
Affected by recent thefts were:
• Taylor T. Allison, 912 Rush Ave.: loose change;
• John Porter III, 204 Miami Ave.: loose change;
• Steva J. Dye, 1000 Rush Ave.: laptop computer; and
• Nathan C. Millice, 316 Seminole Drive: a gift card, a pair of sunglasses and loose change.
Teen found in Marysville
Mara C. Moore, 17, of 525 E. Brown Ave., was charged today with delinquency persistent disorderly conduct.
She was reported missing at 3 a.m. after she left the home without permission.
She was found at a Marysville residence and taken into custody by Marysville police officers. She was lodged in the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center.
Woman threatens neighbor
Sharon K. Ball, 54, of 705 W. Chillicothe Ave., was charged Wednesday with aggravated menacing.
She allegedly brandished an airpowered pistol around 8:30 a.m. and threatened James Brueshaber, 700 W. Chillicothe Ave.
The inoperable pistol was recovered and seized along with a knife.
• Ronald J. Feller, 61, of 505 S. Detroit St., Apt. 9, was arrested for disorderly conduct on Tuesday for a series of outbursts directed toward the new apartment manager for his residence.
Fleeing man found behind brush
Leonard W. Clark III, 54, of 224 N. Detroit St., Apt. 7, was arrested Tuesday for criminal trespassing, domestic violence and resisting arrest. Maycie Maddox, 18, of the same address, was later charged with criminal trespassing.
Around 9:30 a.m., officers were looking for the suspect and observed the two walking across Walker Street at William Avenue.
Upon spotting a police cruiser, both took off running into a wooded area along the CSX Transportation railroad line.
An officer pursued and caught the male suspect hiding behind brush. He ignored orders to come out until the officer threatened to use a Taser.
The woman was located outside her residence around 5:30 p.m. and was arrested.
