At 12:50 a.m., an officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department on patrol initiated a stop off a Harding Street parking lot of the Bellefontaine High School, 555 E. Lake Ave. As he approached the SUV, Brayden drove off and headed southbound on Harding and west onto Lake Avenue.
The chase hit more than 50 mph as they passed TP Lanes, 300 E. Lake Ave., and 80 mph by Southview Park, the officer reported. As it continued onto County Road 11, speeds reached 100 mph. At County Road 32, Brayden turned north and accelerated to unsafe speeds.
Officers terminated the chase and watched as Brayden slowed and continued to AGC Automotive Americas, 1465 W. Sandusky Ave.
He pulled into the parking lot, stopped the SUV, exited and tried to run off. He was soon caught.
The other boys were ordered out of the SUV and onto the ground.
Aden told officers they tried to get Brayden to stop and that the SUV was stolen.
Officers smelled burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. Marijuana was found in the vehicle. Caleb admitted selling marijuana to the others.
Brayden was lodged in the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center while the others were released to guardians.
