Levi B. Moell, 16, of West Liberty, was cited for speed, failure to control and a stop sign violation following a non-injury crash about 3:20 a.m. Tuesday.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating a westbound car on Township Road 30 when he failed to stop at the stop sign at County Road 31. He then drove off the left side of the road, struck a road sign and then went into a field, causing moderate damage to his car.
The driver was wearing his seat belt.
• Timothy P. Murphy of South Lyon, Mich., was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead following a crash about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday on a U.S. Route 33 exit ramp.
He reportedly was operating an eastbound sport utility vehicle and exited U.S. 33 at U.S. Route 68. His vehicle struck the rear of an eastbound car operated by Brooke Sherwood, 19, of Lakeview.
No injuries were reported, and both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
• Adam Houchins, 25, of Lakeview, was cited for failure to control following a one-vehicle crash about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.
He reportedly was operating an eastbound pickup on Township Road 100 just west of County Road 39 when he drove off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and then drove across the road and off the left side and struck a sign. Damage to his vehicle was light.
No injuries were reported and the driver was wearing his seat belt.
CPO violation issued
Heather Stidham, 36, of 116 Fuson St., West Liberty, was issued a summons Tuesday at her residence for a civil protection order violation.
Her ex-husband, Andrew Stidham, 39, reported to deputies Tuesday afternoon that he has a Champaign County civil protection order against Ms. Stidham. He reportedly received phone calls from her and recorded voicemails, along with e-mails.
