Matthew Z. Prince, 18, of 409 Washington St., West Liberty, was charged with assault following an incident Saturday at his residence involving his 17-year-old girlfriend.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 2:10 p.m. to his girlfriend’s residence in Bellefontaine. She stated that she and Prince had been in an argument at his home, and that he allegedly pushed her and then grabbed at her neck, attempting to choke her.
The victim also said Prince shoved her against a wall, causing her to feel dizzy. She stated he has gotten physical with her several times throughout their relationship in the past year.
Deputies did not observe any physical injury to the girl.
Both the girl and her mother provided statements for deputies, who then responded to Prince’s address in West Liberty. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
Bar patron lodged for disorderly conduct
Kayla R. McBride, 24, of Sidney, was charged with disorderly conduct following an incident Saturday at Froggy’s at the Lake, 11065 Township Road 293, Lakeview.
Deputies working a security detail at the bar observed about 7:50 p.m. that McBride was having difficulty walking because she was heavily intoxicated. They assisted her with calling for a ride home.
While waiting for her ride, McBride began to argue with deputies and became uncooperative. She was lodged in the jail.
