Monica H. Irick, 42, of 316 Eaton St., was charged Friday with two counts each of dogs at large and no dog license.
Her two female pit bull dogs attacked Ray Aaron, 8, who was in the yard of the residence after asking for permission to look for a small drone that had gone down in the area.
He was taken by his stepfather to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment. Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report the boy sustained multiple bite wounds on his arms, chest, legs, groin, face and back. Some of the wounds were deep, officers report.
The dogs were taken from the residence by the Logan County Dog Warden, who later reported one of the dogs became extremely aggressive as he removed it from his pickup truck to a kennel. It broke its metal collar and ran off.
