A Dayton man was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and resisting arrest after becoming aggressive with officers of the Washington Township Police Department.
Todd Gandi, 44, was stopped at about 7:15 p.m. Friday after officers saw his pickup truck swerve and leave his lane of travel at least three times near the intersection of state routes 235 and 708.
He initially refused to attempt field sobriety tests but then agreed to do so. Gandi allegedly became uncooperative and struggled with officers after learning he was being charged with OVI.
He was also cited for a marked lanes violation and speed.
He was placed in a restraining chair at the Logan County Jail after threatening staff there, officers report.
