Skyler Tavenner is a student of the sport of swimming.
“A lot of time I am in the pool seven days a week,” said the Indian Lake junior.
Tavenner has competed all over the country and plans to eventually swim at the college level.
For now, he is focused on getting back to the state meet after a strong performance as a sophomore there a year ago.
Tavenner will compete in Saturday’s Division II district meet at Miami University in the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
He has the second-best qualifying times in both events.
