Edwin A. Ford, 44, at large, was charged Saturday with illegal use of drug paraphernalia, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and possession of a dangerous drug. He also was served a warrant for failure to appear.
He was spotted at 12:05 a.m. sitting in a sport utility vehicle parked along the 100 block of west Brown Avenue with the engine running and the hood up.
An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department observed an open can of beer in the center console and ran a warrant check on Ford. After he was taken into custody on the warrant, the officer searched the SUV. He found a pipe used for consuming methamphetamine and a bag with a bottle of prescription drugs for another person.
Ford was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Man lodged for intoxication
James D. Rake, 35, of Covington, was charged with public intoxication after officers found him laying along the roadway in the 800 block of east Sandusky Avenue around 3:10 a.m. Sunday.
He was lodged in jail.
Woman admits to taking donated clothing
Cynthia L. Outram, 28, of 604 Charles Ave., was charged Friday with theft after she admitted taking bags of clothing from a drop off dock at Lutheran Community Services, 223 Oakland Square.
