The local Women Arise group, which is planning to deliver a school bus converted to a mobile medical clinic to Haiti, is still in need of medical supplies and other items.

Specific medical supplies needed include antifungal cream, multivitamins, large gauze pads, antihistamines, antacid pills, alcohol pads, bandage tape and thermometers. The group is also collecting sewing machines, tarps, tents, soccer balls, soccer shoes and equipment.
The Women Arise members begin their trip to Florida on Sept. 4. The medical clinic will support Haiti’s effort to recover from Hurricane Matthew, which made landfall on Oct. 4, causing an estimated $1.9 million in damage and affecting countless lives.
