As part of its ongoing effort to help area students make the most informed educational-career pathway choices as possible, Ohio Hi-Point school board members in a regular meeting Wednesday approved two student camp programs set for later this summer.
A three-day camp intended for Logan County students in grades 8 through 10 will be conducted at Hi-Point’s main campus, offering students a hand-on experience to multiple potential career fields.
Students will select a different career path of interest each day, and engage in programming that will give them a sampling of what each vocation entails.
Additional information including specific dates, as well as how to go about signing up will be released in the weeks ahead, according to discussion.
Hi-Point administrators are also planning an off-campus summer camp to be staged at the Marysville Early College High School, and will emphasize facets of the engineering profession including drawing and designing.
