Steven “Steve” Bogardus, 62, of Bellefontaine, passed away in his sleep at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at the home of his brother, Michael Bogardus.
Steve was born Sept. 18, 1953, to the late Richard and Betty Lee Bogardus. He also was preceded in death by his sister, Vanora (Michael) Patrick.
He is survived by his brothers, Michael Bogardus and James (Lindy) Bogardus; his grandson, Brooks (Amanda) Garber; and nieces, Brianne Bogardus, Sarah Bogardus, Elizabeth Patrick and Michelle (Mark) Weber.
An avid fisherman all of his life, Steve was a skilled artistic auto body technician and enjoyed working on classic cars. In younger days, he toured the United States on his Harley-Davidson. In his later years, he was selflessly dedicated to being a grandfather to his grandson, Brooks.
A memorial service is from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Cafe´ 212, 212 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine.
