Indian Lake’s girls basketball team had its hands full with visiting Jonathan Alder on Wednesday as the state-ranked Pioneers ran away for a 76-25 Central Buckeye Conference win.
The Lakers drop their record to 7-10 on the season. The Pioneers, who are ranked ninth in the latest Division II state poll, move to 13-2.
Alder jumped out to a 23-10 lead after the first quarter. The Pioneers went on a 16-2 run in the second quarter to build a 41-12 cushion at halftime.
Jonathan Alder continued to pour on the points in the third quarter with a 27-11 run. That made it a 68-23 score.
Kaylee Shelton led the Lakers with eight points, Hailey Talbot had seven points and Allison Kinney added five points.
Indian Lake travels to North Union on Saturday for a CBC Mad River division game.
