Bellefontaine plays host to a diverse group of young business leaders Wednesday, March 28, when 25 representatives from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business stop in the city as a part of their tour of America’s heartland during their Midwest Global Study Trip during spring break.
There also are planned stops in Chicago, Detroit and Columbus. The 24 master of business administrations students, many of whom are from international locations, and their professor are interested in their local visit in gaining perspective on a subject with which very few of them have any experience — small town, middle America.
“While the students are on a trip across the Midwest that focuses on the themes of job displacement and automation in the workforce, mainly with stops in larger cities across the Midwest, the goal of the Bellefontaine visit is for the students to get a taste of small town dynamics,” explained Joan Haushalter, who has connected with the group and will be a member of the panel discussion during the visit.”
