Sonia A. “Toni” Cox, 80, of Forest, went to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, June 27, 2020, at Hardin Hills Health Center under the care of Heartland Hospice.
Toni was a beautician in the Kenton and Bellefontaine areas for nearly 50 years. She loved horses, she and Leonard shared much of their spare time together raising and training them. Toni also enjoyed to read, but she truly loved to spend time with her family.
Born July 31, 1939 in East Liberty, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen (Hodge) Clay. On Aug. 13, 1961 in Bellefontaine, she married her husband of over 45 years, Leonard Cox and he preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 2006. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Michael, Steve and Billy Clay.
She is survived by her sisters, Tobi (Michael) Sanders of Florida, Gina (Dick) Price of Forest, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Belle Center Cemetery with Pastor Doug Thompson officiating. In keeping with Toni’s wishes, no calling hours will be observed.
