Benjamin Logan’s boys basketball team couldn’t get out of the gate fast enough Friday and visiting Urbana capitalized as it rolled to a 58-38 Central Buckeye Conference win.
The Raiders slide to 4-8 overall and 1-4 in the CBC Mad River division, while the Hillclimbers move to 5-5, 3-2.
Urbana’s offense was clicking early as the Hillclimbers grabbed a 15-6 lead to end the first quarter.
The Hillclimbers were seven points better (19-12) in the second quarter for a 20-point cushion (34-14) at halftime.
Ben Logan was unable to mount a comeback in the second half.
Davontae Fahle led the Raiders with eight points, Ethan Ricketts had seven points and Trey Allen and Mitch Vance each chipped in six points.
In junior varsity action, Urbana dropped Ben Logan 52-44. Alec Rodenberger sparked the Raiders with 14 points.
The freshman game saw Urbana roll to a 62-43 victory. Ty Anspach led the Raiders with 10 points.
Ben Logan travels to Tecumseh on Tuesday.
