Danielle F. Oldaker, 35, of 6956 County Road 47, West Liberty, was charged Sunday with criminal trespassing, theft, illegal possession of prescription drugs and possession of marijuana.
She was detained at Walmart, 2281 S. Main St., around 6:35 p.m. after she took tags off a purse and began filling it with merchandise.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report she tried to leave with more than $50 in merchandise.
Several pills and marijuana was recovered from her as part of the arrest.
She was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Motorist charged with OVI
Michael C. Banta, 66, of 537 N. Madriver St., was charged Friday with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for no driver’s license, expired registration and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
He was observed driving a white pickup truck drive eastbound across Main Street onto Palmer Avenue around 10:45 p.m. A stop was conducted before the vehicle reached Madriver Street.
Officers detected an odor of alcohol while talking with the motorist. He was unable to complete field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.
He refused to submit a breathalyzer sample.
