Sheri Lynn Sanderson, 47, of Roundhead, passed away at 10:21 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at the ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
She was born Feb. 11, 1970, in Kenton, a daughter of Neale and Rosemary Darby Sanderson, who survive in Roundhead. Sheri married Carl Grundy and they divorced.
She is survived by her sister, Jennifer (Chris) Patton of Bellefontaine; special nieces, Darby and Ava Patton; her aunt, Michelle (Brian) Lawrence of Waynesfield; uncle, Arnel (Emily) Sanderson of Lake Forest, Calif.; close cousins, Jacob Lawrence, Alicia Lawrence and Mark Sanderson; and her best friend, Peggy Harpster of Roundhead.
Sheri was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Alex Sanderson and Margaret Bowsher and maternal grandparents, Melvin and Eileen Darby.
Sheri was a 1988 graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School and graduated from Frederick’s Beauty School in Lima in 1995. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology with honors from Kaplan University in 2017 and was currently working on her master’s degree at Tiffin University.
She was a hair stylist in Bellefontaine from 1995 to 2005 and was a short-term substitute teacher at Bellefontaine City Schools.
Sheri was a member of the Roundhead United Methodist Church.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Schindewolf Stout Crates Funeral Home, Kenton, where calling is from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27. Pastor Ted Bible officiates and burial follows in the Roundhead Cemetery.
