Russell E. Parmer, 78, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020, peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born the son of Martin and Donna (Alexander) Parmer on July 17, 1941, in Bellefontaine.
Russell is preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy, daughter Melissa Parmer, granddaughter Britoni, grandson Daniel, brothers Marion and Merle, a sister Thelma and an infant brother and sister.
Russell is survived by his loving family, daughters Tammy (Steve Clifton) Anderson and Kim Parmer, sons Russell (Vicki) Parmer, Larry (Sarah) Parmer, and Scott Parmer, grandchildren Teresa, Tara, Chelsea, Corie, Cody, Justin, Ashley, Destiney, Kiersten, Erica, Gage, Haley, Hunter, Ava, Colyn and Jessica, 23 great grandchildren, sisters Nelly Dysert and Maxine True, brother Larry (Teddie) Parmer and many nieces and nephews.
Russell retired from the City of Bellefontaine, he was a huge fan of Chieftain Football and loved to wheel and deal. Russell was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He will be missed by all who love him.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at First Friends Church 808 W. Columbus Avenue, Bellefontaine, with Pastor Ray Wolfe officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
