Bellefontaine’s boys basketball team was held scoreless in the second quarter and had just five first-half points in a 48-39 loss to visiting Tecumseh on Friday.
The Chiefs are now 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the CBC. Tecumseh improves to 2-1, 2-0.
The Arrows led 10-5 after the first quarter and then outscored the Chiefs 10-0 in the second period to lead 20-5 at halftime.
Bellefontaine used a 15-9 run in the third quarter to cut its deficit to nine points (29-20) after three quarters.
However, the Arrows were able to stay in control over the final period to wrap up the win.
Kaden Reames led the Chiefs with 13 points. C.J. Wilson had 11 points and Riley Neer chipped in six points.
In the junior varsity game, Tecumseh won 39-29. Kailyn Organ led the Chiefs with seven points.
Bellefontaine lost the freshman contest 50-37. Grayson Lotts led BHS with 15 points.
The Chiefs are back in action tonight at Northridge.
