Miles Hostetler led a balanced attack for West Liberty-Salem in a 51-20 rout of visiting Mechanicsburg in an Ohio Heritage Conference boys basketball game Friday night.
The Tigers are now 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the OHC. The Indians drop to 0-3, 0-3.
WL-S set the tone early, outscoring the Indians 14-5 in the opening quarter.
The Tigers opened up a 19-point lead (28-9) at halftime and they led 40-15 after three quarters.
Hostetler scored a game-high 18 points for WL-S. Matt Jones also scored in double figures with 12 points, Brevin Louden and Carson Poppe each had six points and Taran Logwood added five points.
In the junior varsity game, WL-S won 37-22. Isaiah Reames had 14 points and JJ Johnson scored 12 for the Tigers.
WL-S won the freshman game 32-14. Levi Miller led the Tigers with 11 points.
WL-S returns to action Tuesday at home against Triad.
