Roger L. Pitts, 44, of Sidney, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born Aug. 17, 1971, in Bellefontaine to the late Frank and Phyllis Leibrick Pitts.
Roger is survived by his fiancé, Shelly Richardson of Sidney; stepchildren, Brandon Hoffman of Bellefontaine and Danielle Kemp of Sidney; brothers, Tom Pitts of Dayton, Bill Pitts of Colorado Springs, Colo., Greg Pitts of Jackson Center and David Pitts of Marion; sister, Vickie of Sidney; four grandchildren; six nieces; best friends, Gary Boswell and Joseph Kaeck; and childhood friend, Sean Ordean.
In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by one niece, Amanda Pitts; and one nephew, Gregg Pitts, Jr.
Roger attended Calvary United Baptist Church in Sidney. He worked for NK Parts in Sidney. Roger loved NASCAR, hunting, fishing and country music. He collected NASCAR memorabilia. Roger’s favorite driver was Tony Stewart and his favorite country musician was John Conlee.
He was a 1990 graduate of Riverside High School in DeGraff. Roger loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his fiancé, more than anything else.
