Robert Lloyd “Bob” Farrington, 73, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 11:25 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Hardin County on Jan. 25, 1945, to the late Harold and Gladys Brooks Farrington.
On Jan. 16, 1965, Bob married the former Nancy Britton in Union County and she survives, along with their daughter, Shelly (Vic) Anderson; son, Brian Farrington; three stepgrandchildren; eight great-stepgrandchildren; a brother, Dallas (Peg) Farrington; a sister-in-law, Judy Farrington; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Grabiel and Betty Kennedy; and five brothers, Murl Farrington, Dick Farrington, Russell Farrington, James Farrington and an infant brother, Harold Farrington Jr.
A member of Bellefontaine Moose Lodge 2563, Bob worked as a machine operator at DAB for 43 years.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 12, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, where Pastor Mike Roberts will officiate a funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 13. Burial will follow in Byhalia Cemetery in Union County.
