Riverside’s volleyball team swept visiting Lima Perry for a three-set win on Thursday in Northwest Central Conference action.

The Pirates crushed the Commodores 25-3 in the first set and then dominated 25-11, 25-10 to wrap up the victory.
Riverside is now 8-2 overall and 3-1 in the NWCC.
Marissa Davis led Riverside with 15 kills, Shelby Giles had six kills and Lauryn Sanford dished out 19 assists.
In junior varsity action, Riverside won 25-11, 25-15. Jordyn Marshall had 15 points and seven aces, Macie Manahan tallied nine points and nine kills and Hailee Harshbarger added six points with three aces.
Riverside travels to Benjamin Logan on Saturday for a Fight for Family Day to raise funds for families battling cancer. The varsity contest is scheduled to start at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Arrows down Chieftains
Tecumseh’s volleyball team handled host Bellefontaine for a three-set victory Thursday 25-18, 25-17, 25-12 during Central Buckeye Conference play.
The Chieftains fall to 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the CBC as the Arrows move to 8-2 overall and stay atop the CBC Kenton Trail at 5-0.
Hannah Rader highlighted BHS with 10 digs and four kills, Avery Moore tallied five kills, Chalony Tolliver had three kills, Anya Nunez posted 12 digs and one ace, Laney Yoder had five digs and once ace, Jaelynn Butler had two kills and Mikayla Stepp added four assists.
Tecumseh won the junior varsity match 25-21, 25-17.
Bellefontaine hosts Kenton on Monday for a non-league contest.
