Ricky Lee Burris, 54, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018.
He was born Dec. 27, 1963, in Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine to Charles L. and Dorothy J. Stainbrook Burris.
Rick is survived by his mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Richard Lusby; five children, Hunter Burris and Gracie Burris, both of Bellefontaine, Madison Burris and Braden Burglar, both of Fremont, and Tanner Anderson of Mississippi; a granddaughter, Hailey Burris of Michigan; three siblings, Debbie Cole of Little River, S.C., Jennifer (John) Anthony of Chicago, Ill., and Chad Burris of Bellefontaine; and five nieces and nephews, Zac, Brittany, Brandan, Connor and Adam.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; and a sister, Kimberly.
Rick received an honorable discharge from the United States Army following four years of service in Texas and Germany. Afterward, he worked as a self-employed flooring installer and roofing contractor for several years. Rick loved fishing, working on the farm with Chuck, and spending time with his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need of help.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine.
