Robert S. Kuaile, 98, of Bellefontaine, formerly of Belle Center, passed away, Monday, June 18, 2018, at his residence.
Robert was born July 27, 1919, in Lakeview, to the late Peter and Mary Kathern Leisure Kuaile. On Nov. 21, 1939, he married Esther M. Beatty in Bellefontaine, and she preceded him in death July 7, 2007. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Flynn; five sisters, Floss Kuaile, Myrtle Carroll, Agnes Lament, Alice Gould and Grace Kuaile; and five brothers, Roy Kuaile, Dale Kuaile, Ivan Kuaile and two infant brothers.
Robert is survived by two sons, John (Maureen) Kuaile of Belle Center and Michael (Karen) Kuaile of Marysville; two granddaughters, Kimberly S. Fleece and Sandi (Greg) Losh; two grandsons, Keith (Jenny) Watson and Wesley (Christine) Watson; nine great-grandchildren, Riley, Steven, David, Christopher, Luke, Dylan, Clay, Henry and Peyton; one great-great-granddaughter, Tatum; and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was a 1936 graduate of Roundhead School. He was a United States Navy veteran serving in World War II. He worked at Clark Equipment in Lima.
Funeral services begin at noon Friday, June 22, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, North Chapel, 115 N. Main St., Lakeview, where visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 21, and one hour prior to the service Friday. Burial is in Roundhead Cemetery with military honors provided by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Campbell Place.
