NEW CARLISLE — Kenton Ridge continues to be a nemesis for Benjamin Logan’s girls basketball team.
For the second consecutive season, the Raiders’ season came to an end with a down-to-the wire loss to the Cougars on Wednesday at Tecumseh High School.
Ben Logan cut a 15-point second-half deficit to one, but the Cougars held on for a 68-64 victory in a Division II sectional semifinal game.
The Raiders lost 58-55 to Kenton Ridge in the sectional final last year.
“It is frustrating to be so close again and fall short, but what means the most to me is the effort our girls gave,” said Ben Logan head coach Donnie Sosby. “The girls battled their hearts out. They showed a lot of character. That is the thing that will stick with me.”
