Ralph A. Bowers, 81, of Minster, formerly of Indian Lake, and Sidney, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.
Ralph was born on Dec.12, 1939, in Lakeview, a son of the late Stanley and Maybelle Woodard Bowers. He was also preceded in death by a son, Paul R. Bowers and three sisters, Norma, Virginia Hall and Elaine Sadler.
Ralph married Mary Jane McCubbins on May 9, 1964, in Louisville, Ky., and she survives along with three children, Rebecca (Mike) LeMaster of Sidney, Stanley Bowers of Medina, N.Y., and Joshua Bowers of Piqua, eight grandchildren, Anthony (Carmen) LeMaster, Tim (Bethany) LeMaster, Zackary (Taylor) LeMaster, Avagail Bowers, Derrick (Sarann) Bowers, JJ Bowers, Stephen Bowers, and Chris Bowers, four great grandchildren, Gavin Bowers, Quinn LeMaster, Mya LeMaster, and Hazzel Bowers and several nieces and nephews.
Ralph was a 1957 graduate of Stokes Local School. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a truck driver for over 50 years. Ralph attended Only Believe Ministries in Botkins. He enjoyed playing Pinochle and Euchre, fishing, hunting, playing and watching sports, making practical jokes on others and was an avid fan of OSU Football, UK Basketball and NASCAR.
Pastor Tim LeMaster will begin funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Only Believe Ministries in Botkins. Visitation is Friday, March 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date in Milby Cemetery, Summersville, Ky.
Memorial contributions may be given in his name to Only Believe Ministries.
