Benjamin Logan’s baseball team continued to roll along Monday with a 9-0 rout of visiting North Union in a Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division game.
The Raiders improve to 18-1 overall and 10-1 in the CBC. Ben Logan currently has a four-game lead atop the Mad River division standings.
The Wildcats drop to 4-10, 3-7.
Carter Rees added another stellar outing to his impressive resume on the mound for the Raiders, tossing a two-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts and no walks.
Ben Logan picked up all the offense it needed with a run in the second inning. The Raiders went on to add four runs in the fourth inning, three in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Brady Burrey went 2-4 with a home run and three RBI and Kainan Stoner went 3-3 with a double, home run and two RBI to lead the Raiders.
Also for BL, Nolan Roose went 2-3 with a double and an RBI, Blake Peterson went 3-3 and Ethan Ricketts added an RBI.

Pirates bounce Elgin
Warren Shockey struck out 12 and the Riverside offense generated 10 hits in a 6-2 win over visiting Elgin in a Northwest Central Conference baseball game Monday.
The Pirates are now 7-8 overall and 4-0 in the NWCC.
Riverside plated a run in the first inning and added three more in the third frame for a 4-0 advantage.
The Pirates tacked on two more runs in the fifth.
The Comets scored their two runs in the top of the sixth.
Shockey scattered six hits and walked only one in seven innings to get the win on the mound.
Landon Stewart hit a home run and collected three RBI to spark the Riverside hitting attack.
Kale Long had a pair of doubles and one RBI for the Pirates.
Riverside is back on the diamond today at home against Jackson Center.

Arrows edge Chiefs
Tecumseh rallied with three runs in the top of the seventh inning to beat host Bellefontaine 3-2 in a Central Buckeye Conference baseball game Monday.
The Chiefs fall to 7-8 overall and 4-7 in the CBC, while the Arrows improve to 10-7, 5-6.
Bellefontaine scored a run in the third inning for a 1-0 lead and scored another run in the sixth for a 2-0 advantage.
Tecumseh came up with three runs in its last at bat and then held off Bellefontaine in the bottom of the seventh to secure the win.
Despite suffering the loss on the mound, the Chiefs’ Alex Caudill allowed only two hits and struck out eight.
Ethan Moore had two of Bellefontaine’s five hits with a single and double. Moore and Caudill each had an RBI.
Bellefontaine is back in action Wednesday at Tecumseh.

Lakers slip to Urbana
Indian Lake dropped a Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division baseball game Monday, falling to visiting Urbana 7-5.
The Lakers slip to 11-7 overall and 6-5 in the CBC. Urbana improves to 6-11, 4-6.
Indian Lake jumped out to a 5-0 lead through four innings.
However, Urbana stormed back with three runs in the fifth inning and four in the sixth to jump ahead and get the win.
Luke Jackson doubled and had two RBI and Chase Baldwin added one RBI to lead the Indian Lake offense.
The Lakers return to action Wednesday at Urbana.

Jets jolt Tigers
Visiting Northeastern pounded out 13 hits en route to a 15-4 six-inning win over West Liberty-Salem in Ohio Heritage Conference baseball action Monday.
The Tigers are now 7-8 overall and 7-3 in the OHC. The Jets move to 12-4, 8-2.
Northeastern raced to a 6-0 lead through two innings.
The Tigers scored four runs in the third to make it 6-4, but Northeastern answered with five runs in the fourth for a 11-4 advantage.
The Jets scored two more in the fifth and two in the sixth to finish off the game.
Jamison Legge had two RBI to lead the Tigers’ offense.
WL-Salem returns to action today at Fairbanks.

Indians too much for Triad
Mechanicsburg stayed unbeaten with an 11-0 five-inning victory over Triad in an Ohio Heritage Conference baseball game Monday.
The Cardinals fall to 10-6 overall and 6-4 in the OHC. M’burg improves to 19-0, 11-0.
The Indians set the tone with four runs in the fourth inning. They added one in the second, two in the third and four in the fourth.
Triad was limited to three hits.
The Cardinals are back in action today at home against Northeastern.
