Nikki Current opened eyes with a stellar freshman basketball season last year for Benjamin Logan. She had an even better campaign season as a sophomore, earning Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division player of the year honors.

Current averaged 22 points per game in leading the Raiders to a perfect 10-0 record in the Mad River division.
She was joined on the Mad River first team by Ben Logan teammates Hayley Boysel and Natalie Drumm.
Indian Lake’s Caylee Wurster also earned a spot on the Mad River first team.
Ben Logan’s Coreen Crosby and Indian Lake’s Morgan Evilsizor were special mention picks for the Mad River division.
Bellefontaine’s Meagan Lonsway was selected special mention for the Kenton Trail division.
Receiving sportsmanship awards were Ben Logan’s Lauren Oglesbee, Indian Lake’s Kelson Stidam and Bellefontaine’s Liz Martin.
The remaining first-team selections for the Mad River division were Graham’s Sarah Henry, Greenon’s Macey Hardy, Northwestern’s Katelyn Partlow, Korynne Berner and Abbey Zerkle and Urbana’s Katy Curnutte.
For the Kenton Trail division, Tecumseh’s Lindsey Nartker was selected as the player of the year.
Joining Nartker on the first team were Tecumseh’s Danielle Franklin and Corinne Thomas, Kenton Ridge’s Jamari McDavid, Mikala Morris and Sydney Bates, Stebbins’ Mackenzie Lingg and Bryanna Bransford and Tippecanoe’s Allison Mader and Aubrey Cox.
The rest of the CBC special mention picks were Kenton Ridge’s Desiree Jones, Shawnee’s Tianna Gordon, Stebbins’ Alyssa Bowman, Tecumseh’s Presley Griffitts, Tippecanoe’s Cassidy Wasson, Graham’s Kari Smith, Greenon’s Maleigha Young, Northwestern’s Jenna Robbins and Urbana’s Hunter Rogan.
