Representatives from Affordable Gas and Electric attended the Tuesday evening Quincy Village Council meeting to offer information related to the Nov. 8 ballot aggregation issue of electric for village residents and for natural gas and electric in other parts of the county.
This aggregation will allow village residents to participate in a bulk buy of electric service to obtain the lowest available electric rates. A majority of voters must approve the issue before anyone can participate in the lower rates.
A letter and pamphlet will be passed out to homes in the village explaining the Affordable Gas and Electric program. Residents also can direct questions to the village office at 585-5314.
A resolution was passed to allow the fiscal officer to apply for funding with the Ohio Public Works Commission to replace a water line that is crumbling on Jefferson Street and the mayor to sign the necessary paperwork.
