Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to an 8:40 a.m. fight between two men Thursday at 408 E. Auburn Ave.
One male combatant was hit was with a baseball bat, but no arrests were reported by officers.
The wooden bat had some blood on it and was taken as evidence.
Drivers cited in crashes
Bryant Dill, 26, of West Mansfield, was cited for failure to drive in the marked lanes of the road after a two-vehicle crash on Main Street near Spruce Avenue at 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
He was southbound in his car and attempted to merge to the right. His car hit the side of a van operated by Donald R. Nenninger, 81, of Bellefontaine. Damage was light.
• Phillip E. Ritter, 54, of Bellefontaine, was cited for a stop sign violation in a two-vehicle crash at Garfield Avenue and West Street at 4 p.m. Thursday.
His northbound pickup truck hit the side of a car operated by Aimee J. Hempker, 39, of Bellefontaine, who turned left from southbound West Street onto eastbound Garfield.
Damage was light.
