New DBF base bid auction set Thursday, July 13
Logan County Fair Board membesr made an investment Wednesday during a regular meeting in insect and pest control on the fairgrounds ahead of next month’s exposition.
The fair board approved an $875 proposal to have the grounds, barns and any tents sprayed for flies, bees, spiders, mosquitos and other annoying bugs the week before the Logan County Fair gets under way, July 10-16.
The work will be completed by Jim Biery, who owns and operates JB Vegetation and Insect Control. Mr. Biery is an Indian Lake-area resident who has owned and operated his pest and vegetation control business for about five years. He does work throughout Logan and Allen counties, he said, but this would be the first fair he has serviced.
The proposed work also includes three mosquito treatments throughout the grounds, including along “camper’s row” in the days leading up to and during fair week.
